In accordance with its institutional values, the Fundació Institut Guttmann has a Treatment Grant Programme that aims to offer everybody who needs it, regardless of their financial situation, access to the therapeutic procedures and techniques provided at the Guttmann Barcelona Brain Health and Neurorehabilitation Institute.
The Treatment Grants cover all treatments and therapeutic programmes within the Brain Health and Neurorehabilitation Institute that have been prescribed by a physician from the centre itself, that are not included in the portfolio of public health services, and for which this treatment is the only possible therapeutic alternative. Our unique Active Life Programme is also included.
Anybody who does not have private insurance to cover the treatment, or who does not have sufficient financial resources to pay for it partially or totally, will be eligible to benefit from the Treatment Grants Programme.
This charitable initiative operates thanks to a fund supported by the Fundació itself which receives a percentage of the turnover of the Brain Health and Neurorehabilitation Institute, as well as contributions that are received via the “Friends of the Institut Guttmann” to support this initiative in particular. The grants are awarded depending on the availability of funds for this programme.
