I have multiple sclerosis and I got to know the Institut Guttmann in 2009, through a friend who encouraged me to go, telling me that they also treat chronic diseases. Since then, I have had the opportunity to attend the centre at different times over the years. Although I live far away from Barcelona, and the journey is tiring and takes a lot of effort, I always push myself to go knowing that it would be worth it for me.
Neurorehabilitation at the Institut Guttmann has meant that my disease has progressed more slowly, I have gained physical and mental strength, and I try to overcome any obstacles that arise. I’ve also met some wonderful people! I will always be grateful to the entire team for helping me to cope better with my illness.
