The Fundació Guttmann, recognized with the Toresky Award for Social Impact at La Nit de la Ràdio
The Fundació Guttmann received the Toresky Award for Social Impact yesterday during the La Nit de la Ràdio gala, held at the Teatre Tívoli in Barcelona and organised by SER Catalunya.
The event, hosted by several presenters from the radio network, brought together professionals from the fields of communication, culture, sports and civil society for an evening recognising outstanding initiatives and achievements of 2025.
Ms Montse Caldés and Dr Montserrat Bernabeu accepted the Toresky Award for Social Impact of the Year from Anna Puigboltas, journalist and host of the programme El Balcó, who highlighted the institution’s work “for establishing itself as a leading benchmark in neurorehabilitation both nationally and internationally, combining clinical excellence, social innovation and public awareness to improve the lives of people who must relearn how to live.”
In her acceptance speech, Dr Montserrat Bernabeu emphasised that an award such as this, granted by civil society, represents “a gift for all the professionals who work at the institution.” For her part, Ms Montse Caldés stressed that “the commitment of civil society is essential to move towards a more inclusive society. It is not only a matter of sensitivity, but also a matter of justice.”
We are very grateful to SER Catalunya for this Toresky Award, which reinforces public recognition of the Fundació Guttmann’s social contribution and highlights the value of the collective work carried out by all its professionals.
In this first edition of the Toresky Awards, the following were also recognised: Joan Manuel Serrat (Radio Barcelona Honorary Award), scientist Eduard Batlle (Personality of the Year), Raphinha (Sportsperson of the Year), Oques Grasses (Musical Phenomenon), Leticia Dolera (Cultural Personality), Banco Sabadell (Company of the Year), El Pot Petit (Cultural Event of the Year), Iris Tió (Sports Phenomenon of the Year), Barcelona City Council, for promoting community running events (Sports Event of the Year), and Maria del Mar Bonet (Lifetime Achievement Award).
