A doctor in Neuroscience from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), he obtained his specialisation in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago and a Fellowship in Spinal Cord Injury from the University of Texas, at the South Western Medical Center in Dallas. He has a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Navarra.

He is certified by the American Board of Spinal Cord Medicine and the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

With his extensive experience in treating patients with spinal cord injury, Dr. Benito is an expert in the treatment of spasticity and in the study and rehabilitation of gait.
