Episode 7 - Minimising the sequelae of brain tumour surgery

The brain is the most complex creation of the universe. A marvellous organ made up of cells and electricity that make up our essence, but also a huge unknown. Can we change the way it works and still be ourselves? This is one of the questions posed by the researchers of PREHABILITA, a research project of the Institut Guttmann, funded by the Joan Ribas Araquistain Foundation, aimed at reducing the sequelae of brain tumour surgery by making the brain modify its activity before the intervention. In this episode, we will discover what the brain is like, how it works, how we study it and how we can modify its activity. And we will meet Andrea and Jordi, who underwent intensive rehabilitation treatment before brain tumour surgery.
