The first Guttmann Solidarity Trail, organized by Badalona Challenge for the benefit of the Institut Guttmann, became this Sunday a true celebration of solidarity and commitment. Up to 560 people —including runners and walkers— joined forces and emotions by running through the Serralada de Marina to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Institut Guttmann and support 'El Cor de Guttmann' project. The event began with the starting signal from the co-director of the Institut Guttmann, Ms. Montse Caldés, accompanied by Ms. Eva Guillén and Mr. David Mejía from the Badalona City Council.

Participants could choose between two routes adapted to all levels: 14 km running or 7.5 km walking. The festive rhythm was set by the Badalona batucada O’Barullo, while the Caza Rettos Solidarios association made it possible for people with reduced mobility to also participate through their joëlette chairs, making the race a truly inclusive event.

Some professionals from the Institut Guttmann have occupied the first places on the podium, and Dr. Montserrat Bernabeu, who participated in the race, presented the medals at the final ceremony of the event.

This first Trail Solidari has been much more than a race! Many thanks to the participants, organizers, professionals from the Guttmann Institute, sponsors and volunteers who have made it possible.
