The Institut Guttmann Foundation presents its Report – Social Balance Sheet / Corporate Social Responsibility Report 2024. Another year in digital format, available in Catalan, Spanish and English, and based on the Global Reporting Initiative model (Core Version), which is adapted to the review of indicators established by the GRI, as well as the SDGs of the United Nations Global Compact.

This report documents the activities carried out in 2024 related to the different CSR issues and interrelationships with stakeholders. The document is public and can be found on the Instutut Guttmann website. It will also be available on the GRI website, the United Nations (Global Compact) and the website of the Generalitat de Catalunya (Catalan Council for CSR).

For the Institut Guttmann Foundation, 2024 was a year of impetus and consolidation of key projects for the evolution of our institution. ​​This report includes the activity carried out throughout a year that has been marked, especially, by the development of the new Strategic Plan 2025-2027, which has had the participation of 65% of all professionals in the organization.​

​A Strategic Plan 2025-2027 that is deployed in a total of 11 strategic axes - 4 for Guttmann Barcelona and 7 for the Neurorehabilitation Hospital - . They are specified in projects and actions that will evolve together, but independently, as corresponds to the different realities of each of the two centers.​

​This new strategic framework places digitalization, data management, humanization and sustainability as fundamental pillars of the action to be developed over the coming years, with a vision focused on people and social impact.​

As highlights, during 2024:​

- We laid the foundations for a profound cultural change towards Digitalization, with initiatives such as government organization and data management, training in emerging technologies and the debate on the challenges of artificial intelligence applied to our sector.​

- In the area of ​​humanizing people management, we began the process to transform the current Human Resources Area into a People Area, with a broad vision focused on human development. This change will allow us to address in more depth aspects such as talent retention and the growth of personal and professional skills, with the aim of facilitating the evolution from a model of administrative task management towards a philosophy focused on the well-being and needs of professionals.

- We obtained the Accreditation of Acute Hospital Care Centers of Catalonia with a score of 97.65%, and we successfully passed the 6th reaccreditation by the Joint Commission International. Two recognitions that confirm the excellence of the Institut Guttmann's healthcare model.

- Finally, 2024 was also the stage to continue strengthening our institutional Governance model, actively participating in spaces such as the Albert Oriol Bosch Forum and the Catalan Congress of Clinical and Healthcare Management, where we shared our experiences in Governance and Sustainability.

With this report we want to account for all this collective effort and highlight the work of the teams that, with rigor and commitment, made it possible a year of great progress.
