Accompanied by the Minister of Health, Manel Balcells, they highlighted the role of the Institut Guttmann as a monographic hospital with high specialization in Neurorehabilitation and the only CSUR center in Catalonia.

Today we were visited by the President of the Generalitat Pere Aragonès accompanied by the Minister of Health, Manel Balcells, the accidental mayoress of Badalona City Council, Rosa del Amo and other authorities from the Department of Health. The entourage was received by the president of the Board of Trustees of the Institut Guttmann Foundation, Antoni Esteve; and the co-directors Dra. Montserrat Bernabeu and Montse Caldés.

The visit began with a tour of the hospital's most unique facilities and at the end, President Aragonès held a meeting with members of the Board of Trustees of the Institut Guttmann Foundation and the management team.

The president was particularly interested in the role of the Institut Guttmann within the Catalan health system. Given its uniqueness as a monographic center with high specialization in Neurorehabilitation, the president highlighted the importance of working on strategic alliances in the territory to promote all people who need it can benefit from the expertise of this reference hospital. He has also shown interest in our lines of research, especially those related to Neuroregenerative Medicine, robotic technologies or artificial intelligence, among others.
