The Board of Trustees of the Institut Guttmann Foundation has decided to appoint Dr. Montse Bernabeu and Mrs. Montse Caldés, co-directors of the Institut Guttmann Foundation, replacing Dr. Josep M. Ramírez, who has been at the helm of the institution for 32 years as managing director.

Both will combine co-direction with their current responsibilities; that is, Dra. Montse Bernabeu will continue as Care Director and Ms. Montse Caldés will continue as manager.

This marks the beginning of a new stage for the organization, which, with the support of the members of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees, will continue the institutional challenges and objectives set out in the Institut Guttmann's 2020-2025 Strategic Plan. With this appointment, the Institut Guttmann Foundation becomes the first organization in the Catalan healthcare sector to have a shared management model with two women at the helm.
