Kick-off of the new Fundació Guttmann Philanthropy Council
Kick-off of the new Fundació Guttmann Philanthropy Council
Within the framework of the Strategic Plan driven by the Executive Management, and in response to the challenge of consolidating and growing philanthropy at Guttmann, the new Fundació Guttmann Philanthropy Council has been established. This is an advisory body created with the aim of strengthening the institution’s philanthropy strategy and expanding its capacity for influence, connection, and access to new opportunities for the organisation.
Its main functions will be to provide strategic guidance, serve as advocates and representatives of the institution, establish connections and open doors to potential major donors, and support key initiatives promoted by Fundació Guttmann.
In addition to the two Co-Directors and the Chair of the Board of Trustees, Núria Basi, this new Council is made up of individuals with outstanding professional and institutional backgrounds, who act as ambassadors for Fundació Guttmann and share the values that define our project:
Sergi Loughney (Fundació ”la Caixa”), Salvador Alemany (Fundació Gran Teatre del Liceu), Ramon Agenjo (Fundació Damm and Barcelona Global), Pau Relat (Fira Barcelona and MAT Holding), and Maite Barrera (Bluecap).
During the first working meeting, members shared reflections, ideas, and lines of action to launch this new phase, agreeing on the importance of building alliances and activating the commitment of the entire organisation. Because philanthropy is not only a tool for fundraising, but also an expression of the Heart of Guttmann: our ability to work together, build trust, and make projects with a high social impact possible.
The creation of the Philanthropy Council strengthens Fundació Guttmann’s positioning as a leading institution committed to progress, innovation, and sustainability, and opens a new window of opportunity so that, with everyone’s support, we can continue transforming lives.
