For the fourth consecutive time, the Institut Guttmann has managed to revalidate one of the most demanding and exhaustive audits related to the management of the quality of health organizations, the Joint Commission International.

The Guttmann Institute was first credited 13 years ago and since then, the organization has not ceased to believe in the importance of continuous improvement, without ever losing sight of the importance of managing small details, human treatment and person-centered care.

After five intense days reviewing and crossing facilities, files, stories, and a long list, together with the auditors, the re-accreditation has been completed in a very favorable manner. Of the 1,200 elements of the JCI to measure, only 12 have some partial failure and only 1 is incomplete.

The Chicago Accreditation Committee has already reached the final report confirming that the Institut Guttmann has obtained this recertification, which would have been impossible without the involvement of all the professionals in the organization.

The Joint Commission is today the organization with the most experience in health accreditation around the world. For over 50 years it have been dedicated to improving the quality and safety of health and social healthcare organizations. It currently accounts for about 20,000 organizations worldwide. The information and experience obtained when evaluating these organizations is used in turn to update the standards periodically, thus adapting them to changes in health services.
