To achieve translation to the clinic practice of non-invasive cranial stimulation as an innovative tool for diagnosis and treatment of several pathologies associated with spinal cord injury and brain damages, as well as for other indications related to research in brain health improvement.
- Application of non-invasive stimulation techniques to optimize plastic nature of the nervous system and its residual functional capacity resulting from an injury, inhibiting changes that are maladaptive and enhancing those that lead to situations of enhanced functionality.
- Promote the development of innovative clinical programs of noninvasive cerebral stimulation for treatment of pathologies associated with spinal cord injuries and cerebral lesions (such as neuropathic pain, aphasia, depression, epilepsy or cognitive deficits), as well as in the recovery of the motor deficit.
- Canalize with the non-invasive brain stimulation enhancement group. Develop and evaluate innovative diagnostic and therapeutic clinical strategies with non-invasive brain stimulation as a tool, alone or with other strategies.
