How to become a friend Print


It is an initiative taken by people, organizations and companies allied to voluntarily make regular donations to support, promote and make it possible for the Foundation's most characteristic and innovative projects to take shape.

Becoming a “Friend of Institut Guttmann” means taking part in a charitable activity of great human and social value. Members, either individuals or companies, become a part of an innovative, scientific care project aiming at improving quality of life of people with disabilities.

The “Friends of Institut Guttmann” are regularly informed of the foundation’s activities, they receive the “Sobre Ruedas” (on wheels) journal and the annual report and are invited to take part in all the activities organized by the Foundation. They also benefit from insurance cover for spinal injuries or craniocerebral trauma caused by an accident, according to the terms of the group insurance policy taken out with AXA. The AXA Foundation is a friend company that supports the Foundation.

Now, more than ever, it is worth becoming a “Friend of Institut Guttmann”

Together we have been able to make a big dream come true, building one of the best neurorehabilitation hospitals in the world.

Your support will allow us to keep on progressing in the development of new techniques and of care, health and social procedures to improve the quality of life of people with neurological disorders at the same time it will help us promote new research programmes in the area of neurosciences and technologies applicable to personal independence that will offer them a future full of hope.

Now the big challenge is to develop the “Guttmann-Meridiana Project”
